Religion and Imagination

The co-existence of multiple religions stirs me ....In the era of globalization, why not standardization of faith....My take...

Why did religion ever come into existence.....
Well because it was perhaps the earliest forms of moral education.. helped build societies...differentiated good from bad..humans from animals .. and so forth.....

Who wrote the holy scriptures....
Human beings did ..wrote..modified..augmented..edited...elaborated..interpreted..
..rewrote..and so on...

How come different religions/deities/prophets/scriptures...
All major religions seem to originate with considerable separations, both in space and time.. now add to it the political nature of human mind.. which from its outset would have made the newer one gain all the reverence of the tribe/community as the 'real' message of god..as if the existing ones were by ordinary humans ;)

Personally, I reckon a universal God as the only super-natural power( not strong enough to deny the very existence).... and almost everything else an archaic stream of imagination which has flown through the channels of politics...

umm...

Recession 2008, United States & Rest of the World

Any how wat prompted me to write this post ..was a recent discussion with people at work..>>>the discussion being the following:

Ques:The US economy lost billionz of dollars, but who did it lose to.? Is the money still in the country? where did it evaporate..? to somebody's wallet? .. Is only the sub prime crisis responsible for triggering this or were there other things happening in series/parallel to it?...Is it only the Investment banks which made bad investments or is the Fed itself responsible? Did the Fed close its eyes while all this was happening or is it a free market it couldn't have done much anyways?...Wat can Fed do other than the Bail -outs and using some of its conventional tools of controlling the economy (used during the standard Inflation/Recession cycles)? btw is it really a cycle?

Soln: Don't have the answer to everything but I see it this way..the money was lost in stocks..which is nothing but a G-damn state of mind(yeh ek mansik sthiti hai)..So if we imagne..we are all Christians and Jesus Christ appears in the sky .. and says .."Everything is ok , relax guys , situation is under control ..Enjoy ur lives as before.. Its ok Now, I am here"...I would imagine this would turn the direction of the recession curve back(with a local minima, right there)

Large Hadron Collider

Most certainly you couldnt have missed this multi billion dollar 'game- sport', if I may may call so by CERN.Well is it really something or is it this mega investment and Tev of energy thats brought the subject from Dan Brown's novel to the headlines.I have been trying to follow this mystery of particle physics but as they say.." there are two things which perplex you further if u try undrerstanding them, common knowledge says one is women the other is Quantum Mechanics", with all due respect both to former and latter.

Th quest is to validate/invalidate the grand unified theory of the four fundamental forces of nature.The objective here is to demonstrate the presence/absence of Higgs Boson. (Particles with integeral spin, zero in this case.). It would help in answereing some fundamental questions like how does the gravitational force work. Which are those fundamental particles/energy elements which transfer/exchange whilst these forces are observed.

The experimenal set up by CERN involves colliding these very high energy protons(composite particles/hadrons), which is achieved through high energy particle acclertors, using superconductivity to achive magnetism for deflection.Such high enegies are obtained by accelerating these particles under a tunnel of 27 km laid down under the Swiss-franc territories.

An intersting statement by Stephen Hawking was, " If they find the boson it woud be great, it would show , its the way we thought it was, it would also be very interesting if the don't find it, we would then have to redefine our theories..."

GO station bramaea,,..00:45...the roads were clear...but the parking lot wasnt ... it couldnt have been as it was still pouring down heavy..>>>ok im goin fast.. ..zmmm.......brushed/scratched of the snow.... sat inside...tried to move the car...fwd..reverse.. fwd revrse.. back it comes... ahhh. not bad boy .. 33.333sec later stuck up again .. hardly five cars in that giant-2 lot.. no one arnd...>>> i used all applied mechanics ..>> the tyre kept slippin..>>>went out cleaed of snow that was stuck up aroun the tyres.. no good.. now burning smell.. tyres burnin off .. couldnt see this ahh my car... phone battery dyin out...attention battery low!.. ahh.. probably culd make one call >>>>didnt want to disturb dad at this this time but asked him to send CAA guys here to tow of my car to road.. CAA guys called back.. quickly explained th e situation .>>guy tells.. wud be there in 1 hr or so.. dad called again hey i m comin to get u... inform CAA... leave ur car and come out of snow... walked out .. 3.33 min past CAA calls up i am there wherez ur car.. ahh called back dad help arrived..ahh confusion.... came back runnin .. CAA guy says ""Sorry sir i cant help u .. if i go there my car wud stuck up.. sry .. blah.. blah.>>>called dad.....super confusion.. attention battery low!...>>>anyway left car. dad picked me up from smwhere btw i had gone numb.... freezing rain...was hitting HARD on face hey jacket is still sexy and awesome.. presentaion tomm.... ahhh who cares.. next morning(Today) ....>>>went to the station to see wats up with car and also to board the train to work..>>> all snow cleared up in to mountains around way cleared..>>>but hold ON where the hell is my car.. serchin... ahhh..
